Half Ounce: noun 1. 14 grams of marijuana

Examples:  “I got a half ounce of herb for the music festival this weekend.”

There’s a nasty wicked storm brewing outside and you’ve got food to last you a week and a 1/2 ounce of your favorite bud. You won’t be going anywhere for a while, and it feels good. A half ounce of marijuana is equal to about 14 grams, and a fairly good amount to make you feel comfortable. Prices for a 1/2 ounce can change but you can estimate it might run you from $50 to $100 more or less depending on where you purchased it. A halfer for a beginner is enough to get them feeling like a pro for a little while. It might last you the weekend, but your friend a week. Every stoner is different and has their do’s and don’ts when it comes to determining costs and amounts. Still, when granted a half ounce you should share at least once.
