Studying Stoners
Since the age gap of smokers ranges from young to old, there are a lot of stoners that are still enrolled in some sort of schooling. Mostly, this means college. For some, this point in life is crucial and extremely important. Passing midterms and finals means a lot for certain people’s future. But how can you balance bud and books? It’s actually pretty easy… And you may be helping your test scores too.
Depending on the kind of stoner you are, marijuana can be a real help when studying and taking a test in school. Functional stoners are the kind of stoner that needs weed to do everything. Without THC in their system, they’re basically useless. If these people smoke a blunt while studying and then one again before their test, they claim that the weed helps them to get a better grade on the test. Stoners who smoke before tests say that the weed helps them to focus on the task at hand, without their nerves getting the best of them. The marijuana’s relaxing tendencies may attribute to higher test scores with people like this, since they have test anxiety to begin with.
The zoned out stoners can’t smoke while studying or while testing. They smoke, try to read a sentence, and then end up thinking about what they’re going to eat for dinner later… Or maybe dinner now instead if you’re that stoned. It’s highly recommended that if you’re the kind of stoner that spaces out when high, it’s not a good idea to smoke while studying or taking a test. Stay sober until after you’ve checked the last box.
Even though there is still the argument that cannabis causes short term memory problems, some people really do benefit from the effects of THC while doing schoolwork. There is very little to no scientific information regarding this topic. All of what can be found on the web is pure opinion. It’s up to the individual to decide what kind of stoner they are. If you can smoke and handle school, go for it. But if you have any doubts about your ability to toke and learn, put down the pot until after your work is done!
